When you have an urge you can choose to feed it or refuse it. When you feed it - it grows - when you STOP feeding it - it gets weaker and weaker each time.
When you refuse to feed it - you are building your refusal skills. Sometimes we call them urge busting muscles. If you exercise those urge busting muscles they get stronger - just like your biceps when you exercise them. AND when you DON'T use them - they begin to atrophy.
When you start to build body muscle - the first few times - you don't notice a difference - then one day you realize you can lift a heavier weight and your strength becomes more evident to you.
